FAQs

What insurance do you accept?
We accept a wide variety of insurances. It is strongly recommended you check with your insurance company prior to your appointment to see if our doctors are on their provider list.

What is the office procedure for refilling prescriptions?
We have a refill line for patients to call and leave their refill request. Please follow the instructions in order to get your refill taken care of in a timely manner. We have 24-hour turn around time excluding the weekend. The refill line number is (843) 406-9428.

How does your office handle patient emergencies after hours and on the weekends?
Call our office number, (843) 762-2323 and your doctor will be called and/or paged by our answering service. Our doctors handle their own calls unless they are on vacation. All life threatening emergencies, heart attacks and strokes should go immediately to the ER. For routine medical needs in the evenings and Saturdays, you may visit the Roper St. Francis After Hours Clinic.

Who will admit me to the hospital?
We use the Roper St. Francis Hospitalist Service. The hospitalists work exclusively in the hospital and they are on call for all emergencies. Our doctors will get a full report from the hospitalist regarding the care you received while in the hospital.

Can I have my labs done at this office?
We are a full service lab with a phlebotomist on site. Our blood work hours are 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 - 3:30 p.m.
